How our psychologists help with anxiety

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, panic attacks, avoiding social situations, trouble sleeping, or physical symptoms like a racing heart and tense muscles. Our psychologists work with adults, teenagers and children to understand what keeps your anxiety going and to build practical skills to manage it.

We use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), along with mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies, tailored to you. Common concerns we help with include generalised anxiety, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety, school-related anxiety in children, and stress at work.

Sessions are available at our clinics in Croydon, Mitcham, Lilydale and Clyde North, and by telehealth. If anxiety sits alongside low mood, see our depression therapy page, or meet our general psychologists and clinical psychologists.
